Let me start by saying that since I grew up around live music this review might be slightly biased. Ok, now that we got that out of the way, WOOOOOOO HOOOOO! Haha, I haven't been this excited about a live album since Alicia did Unplugged and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I've been a John Legend fan since I heard him on Kanye's debut album (before Ordinary People) so there's certain things I expect from the brother and he came through. The vocals were on point and the band hooked it up, especially on "Stereo". He changed up the rhythm on a few of his old songs, which didn't take away from the songs at all. If anything it enhanced them and made them more entertaining for a live setting. So, that's the CD. At first, the DVD felt like an afterthought to me but it got it's point across, "BUY THE LIVE DVD". There were a couple of music videos (love the one for "Show Me")and an interview he did for the concert, but the meat and potatoes of the DVD was the teaser for the actual concert DVD. From what I saw on the teaser it looks like I might have to pick that up as well. All in all, this makes a good addition to any CD collection. Whether you are a John Legend fan, a fan of live performances or just an R&B/ Soul fan in general this CD/DVD hits hard.

No surprise here, John Legend is becoming a legend day by day with his music. Listening to this Cd is really like being thier in the front row. The piano is simply remarkable and the sound overall will make you want to play the piano! 5 Stars here!
