Product Description Trixie, Daddy, and Knuffle Bunny take a trip to the neighborhood Laundromat. But the exciting adventure takes a dramatic turn when Trixie realizes somebunny was left behind . . . Using a combination of muted black-and-white photographs and expressive illustrations, this stunning book tells a brilliantly true-to-life tale about what happens when Daddys in charge and things go terribly, hilariously wrong. Mo Willems is a six-time Emmy Awardwinning writer and former animator for Sesame Street, and the creator of Cartoon Networks Sheep in the Big City. Both his first book for children, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, and his fourth book Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale won prestigious Caldecott Honors from the American Library Association. The New York Times has called him "the biggest new talent to emerge thus far in the 00's". Mo lives with his family in Brooklyn, New York.

I don't love it *quite* as much as the kids do, but it's good enough :) July 1, 2008 First, let me say that my nieces, aged 5 and 2.5, love this book. Love, love, love. We take it out often from the library.
They really like playing the perennial Mo Willems game "Find the hidden picture of the pigeon!", and they like the story as well. It just calls to them, and when I read it they participate and everything.
I find the book starts to lose its charm after a dozen dozen readings, but what do I know? I'm just an adult!
I love Mo Willems! June 14, 2008 My only complaint about this book is, I wish it were longer! I just adore anything Mo Willems writes, particularly the "Pigeon" books. The combination of cartoon art and actual photographs made the book visually wonderful.
A great gift, along with its sequel!
Our favorite! June 10, 2008 LOVE this book. I can curl up day after day with my four year old and my five month old and giggle over this book. Sometimes, my four year old sits quietly while I read to him, other times he tells me what is going on complete with voices and lots of giggling.
I like the way this book is illustrated as well, cartoon characters set against photographs of actual streets.
Anyone with young children know they will often seize on a book and fall in love, wanting us to read it over and over again...I like that this book is simple enough for them to 'read along,' but the message is a sweet one....Daddy will do whatever he has to do to make his little one happy, and what child doesn't like to see Dad as the 'hero?'
Without a doubt our favorite 'kids' book.
One of my daughter's favorite books June 10, 2008 We began reading this book to our daughter when she was 21 months old. She loves it, along with Knuffle Bunny Too, which she had a few months earlier. She loves to flip through the pages herself and tell the story. The artwork is inventive, and the story is fun for her and for the adults.
Big DISSAPOINTMENT! June 9, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is a big diappointment. I was hesitant to order it whithout being able to see it in person first because I was a little concerned that Trixie's "baby talk" babbles (as noted in other reviews) would be too babyish for my very verbal 3 year old. After reading numerous 5-star reviews, I decided to go ahead & take a chance... big mistake. My son has the attention span to sit through books with more substance than this one (such as The Giving Tree, The Sneetches, & Frog and Toad are Friends). Knuffle Bunny only has a few words or 1 sentence on each page. The best thing I can say about this book is that the use of illustrations combined with black & white photos is unique. I really did expect more from an award winning book, in fact, I'm returning it. For the price I know I can find something better. By the way, my son didn't act too excited about it either. I really tried to read it with expression & make it exciting, but he just wasn't very interested in Knuffle Bunny.
