One word - AMAZING! November 16, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Simply stated this is an "AMAZING" CD. I love every song on this CD. Very upbeat and catchy tunes. I received it as a gift and after listening to it over and over I must say it was a great choice. I recommend it to anyone who likes good listening music with lyrics that you can sing to or listen to while you sit back and enjoy.
Promising for sure, but needs a little polishing in one area October 29, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
One of the bigger hopefuls to debut on American Idol, Elliott Yamin's easygoing, soul-tinged style kind of reminds me of the music of Jason Kay, who fronted the "one-man group" Jamiroquai in the 90s. Elliot's voice is much stronger, however. One thing that I think he could improve upon (and is probably well-capable of doing so), is that, although his voice is wonderful, he sometimes tries to say too many things at once, which kind of ruins the otherwise smooth ride that his songs take us on. Still, considering this is 2007, this album stands tall among a lot of others from this year.
WOW!!!!!! October 25, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
When I first heard "Wait for You" I thought it was Usher singing it. When I found out who it was and the show he came from I was ready to pass on him. However I got hear the cd I could listen to this cd nonstop and not get tired of it.br /And it's been a long time since I could say that about any cd. I really don't have a favorite song with this cd. I like them all.
Elliot Yamin delivers a soothing album October 24, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This album is quite the type of album which I thought Elliot would deliver, especially because on American Idol he sang many soulful songs which showed his range. His range is displayed in many of his songs, and many people, including me, love the song "Wait for You," not only because it has a cool beat (Elliot shows his dynamic range throughout the song and shows immense control also), but it shows a good message about relationships. The only criticism I would give is that some songs sound repetitive with the kindof "contemporary" sound. Elliot Yamin is still the man and I cannot wait to see what he comes out next with.
  Find a Way..you can't help October 24, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
But fall in love with this cd and Elliott. He has such a soulful, rich and full voice throughout his debut. You would think he's being doing this in the music business for years. Every track flows right into the next with ease and they all have a different meaning and feel to them that works for whoever listens to it. From one to the next Elliott flows with the vibe of each song and just makes you believe in what he's singing. I also like the fact that he writes on some of the tracks which also adds a personal touch to each one that he has a hand in.br /br /No bones about it and bar none. Elliott Yamin's debut cd is so much better than the crop of stuff that we hear nowadays. This is an excellent start for him and as evident he's doing really well on the charts with the CD at 122 on top 200 Billboard cds after 28 weeks and "Wait For You" which reached #13 on the Top 100 singles chart.br /br /He's destined for and will receive loads of attention and fame in the future and is more than deserving of all it. br /br /the CD buy it there's not a bad song on this CD...not upbeat but doesnt need to be always.
